T1700 window screens

I have a T1700 1990 and I am confused about screens. All the crank out windows have screens but the two that slide up like a normal sash don’t was there a screen that fit in the channel then the window was closed on it? It would be nice to have screens in the window by the dinette. And another thing I don’t get what are the little clips that turn on the frame for they sort of look like some thing that would hold a screen in but they don’t appear to have any purpose.

Are the clips window locks? The large window near the dinette is probably an emergency exit, but a screen was most likely there at one time.

OK I may have figured it out it looks as if there may have screens on the out side. There are two small screws that go through the edge but not as far as the frame where the window track is I'm thinking they once upon a time they held the screens in. They can't be on the inside or there would be no way to open the window. Still the mystery of the twist clips all the windows have them so they can't be for screens because the screens are in place on those windows. I did figure the other windows out they are just like any aluminum frames with the little rubber snake holding the screen in the down side you have to remove the inside frame around the inside of the window to replace the screen. My wife found the manufactures of the windows and has sent them an email when and if they get back to us I'll post there web information.

The twist clips on the inside are a holdover from the very early days of TT's - they were used to hold some kind of storm window in place. My '76 Prowler had them.

Yes, the clips hold storm windows in. They would have been custom ordered from Sunline when the trailer was new, but the clips were put on all the trailers regardless if the had the option or not.
