T1350 Weight Distribution

Hey everyone-

I recently bought a 1982 T1350. I am towing it with my Toyota 4Runner. It was swaying and bouncing, so I bought a weight distribution and sway control kit (Curt 17063).

However, The spring bars are about 1" from the ground. Obviously, this will not work. I am thinking the T1350 and my SUV are just too low for a system like this.

Has anyone had success setting up a weight distribution/sway control system with a similar setup?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!!

-mike

Personally I don't think you need one. It sounds to me like you have too much weight in the back of the camper. I tow a 1700 with a Tacoma no issues no gadgets just the tow hitch.

If you find that you really do need one, I purchased the Reese Steadi Flex 66557 from eTrailer. I have a T1550 and had sway and bouncing issues as well. I was towing with a GMC Envoy at the time.
