T-1661 trailer ball

Does anyone know what size the trailer ball should be for a 1989 t-1661 Solaris? 2-5/16" is normal but ....

Thanks,
Budge

Welcome Budge,

The ball is probably a 2" for a coach that small and light.

By the way, it should be a Saturn model, not a Solaris.

A handy tip is that the ball size and weight ratings of the coupler are stamped on the top of it. If you have can get to the trailer now, you can verify the ball size by reading the info.

On some trailers, the coupler may be a bit rusty and it will take a little cleaning to be able to read it. In the spring, wire brush it real well, prime, and paint with a gloss or semi-gloss paint and then the printing is very easy to read.
