Solaris 2475

My wife and I just purchased a 1995 Solaris 2475. It is in awesome shape except for the decals. The decal on the front and the entry door are ruined and will have to be removed. I am hoping somebody can help me find replacements. I am also looking for an owner's manual. I understand it consists mostly of manuals for the components that are in the trailer, but whatever I can find will be more than I have.

Thanks so much.

Bill & Pam

Hi Bill and Pam

First off welcome to Sunline club. Glad to have you with us and glad to hear about your camping adventures.

On the decals, yes they do fade off, literally. If the prior owner from when the decals where new used a UV protectant over them, they last a lot longer. I myself use 303 Protectant.

Now where to get new decals? Do not know but someone else my chime in shortly.

On the manuals see here in our files section: http://www.sunlineclub.com/files.html There is a lot to start with right there.

And here is a sticky in the Community section with link to a lot of the common Sunline manufactures. http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/ph...opic.php?t=544

That will get you a real good start and cover s most of what is even in my manual I have from Sunline.

Good luck, welcome aboard and happy camping in your Sunline

John

Yes, that is true, but you have a unique year. 1995 was the 30th anniversary, so they decided to come out with special graphics, but sadly the color just wasn't that good. Neither was the adhesive, but not as bad as the color. That being said, for the amount of '95's I have pictures for, which is probably about 100 at rough estimate from memory, probably 15 of those still have good color in the logos. The red faded out pretty much no matter what, I'm not sure if there was any product that would keep it in.

I can tell you this, I got the very last front/rear 1995 Sunline logo when I was at the factory in June 2006 and it's now part of my museum. I have begun the (slow) process of scanning each logo and restoring it to as close to the original image as possible. Hutch can attest because I've done the '02-'05 large logo already and sent him a proof.

I've yet to have one reproduced, so I can't say how it would turn out, but with today's graphic techniques, I'm sure there's ways to keep that red in. One thing to especially keep in mind is that the cost will be quite high. Like I said, I've never had one reproduced, or even quoted before, so I don't know how much it would cost, but Sunline did estimate that it would cost about $50 a logo to reproduce when I asked them, which is why they hadn't had any new ones made.

If you would be interested in reproductions, feel free to send me a PM. I can't get to the restoration for about a month, but in May I'll have time to sit down and get it done.

Jon
