sit down shower

Am I the only that does not care for the sit down shower? I really like my T1700 but hate the foolish tub thing has any one redone theirs? They did hide a great deal of stuff under it so it does not look like an easy task.

I believe the front axle and tire are under ours, so it would be near impossible to remove the seat.

In mine it was a convent place to put the pump and other plumbing stuff including the vent pipe. I don't mind losing a few inches but I sure would like it flat. The bottom of the tub sits on a piece of Styrofoam making it even higher I'm 6 foot and I can't stand up right but 2" would help a lot. If I removed the entire thing I’m guessing I could make the shower floor space smaller that I don’t mind it’s so small on the low side of the tub I can’t swing a cat much less a towel. I most likely would build a pan and lead line it and cover it with tile.

We had to gut the whole bathroom due to water damage and we are replacing the shower with a full size. Luckily there was nothing under the shower. It can be done. I will be posting photos when I complete the project in full.
