Siding - what the heck?

Good day all:

During this season i have noticed a small flex in the siding of the trailer on the drivers side. when i would fun my hand over it - it would flex - figured this was normal.

now, this past weekend, i noticed that the siding in this spot was not clicked together --- so i pushed it and it snapped into place --- now i got thinking about this ---- how did this happen?

it looks fine now and there is still a little flex --- i can't find any spots where the caulking has peeled, crakced, loosened etc - roof on down --- watered the trailer well and the water runs right off --- in case you are aking, yes i did watch!

any ideas?
