Screened in area under awning

I noticed some of you have the 'add-a-room' under your awning? How do you like it?

Any recommendations on what to get when getting one?

How much effort is required to put it up and take it down?

My wife wants one, but we only camp on weekends and a few weeklong trips during the year. I was worried I would spend most of my time setting up and taking down the camping area if I got one.

Thanks,
David

David,

You're very right, from what I've heard, they are a pain to put up and take down. I've never owned one to know, but when I asked about them one time, I heard that they're only worthwhile if you plan on staying somewhere for like a week or more. For just weekend trips it's too much work.

Add on Screen Room

We purchased a CareFree of Colorado screen room last spring. We absolutely love it! Once we installed it, putting it up and taking it down took less time and far less frustration, than a stand alone screen room. It truly added usable living space to our camper. We spent much more time outside due to the screen room. It was a bit pricey, but worth every penny! We truly wish we had done it much sooner. You can see the screen room in use in our picture.

I agree with janetpowell. We also have a colorado room. This is probably the best investment we have made for the trailer. It is a bit of a pain until you set it up a few times but after that it takes very little time. Great for those rainy times when you are looking for a small bit of dry ground. Also great to keep our grandkids coralled; now if we could only find something as good for our schnauzers

[color=blue]ffergie,

Do your dogs dig? IF they do not dig, how about "x-pens". I have 3 that I connect together and I have it connected to the Sunline, so that when I open the trailer door, the grey & weiner are automatically in a yard.
