removing side decals - 2003 T-2475

Wife and I are looking to remodel our '03. We're going to do all new colors outside where the decals are but still tie in to the interior colors. I've taken off the decal on the rear as it was peeling badly. I've heard it's a trip to get the side decals off. Anyone have some ideas before I proceed please?

Gentle heat, goo-be-gone, and rubbing alcohol. Don't use metal scrapers. Plastic ones may help depending on condition of base paint.
