Recliner For 2499

We like the swivel chair that came with our 2499--it's stood up well--but a little more comfort would be appreciated. What Anne would really like is a recliner. Has anyone investigated a chair replacement and, if so, what are the possibilities?
Thanks,
Don

I replaced the swivel rocker with a "glider rocker & matching ottoman" that I purchased from Big Lots. Think is was on sale for $99.99 While itt's not your traditional recliner, it does sorta recline some. When I sold the '06 2499, I kept the glider/rocker and currently it is here in the house and I find myself spending every evening in it.

Hi Don

This may or may not help. Cindy was the couch person, I was the chair person. I did exchange the chair for a swivel rocker from Staples. Cost was ~ $150 to $160. Leather, nice cushions, adjustable lumbar, made by Sealy. It is an office chair and it is on wheels so I could use it at the table easier. I could adjust the height. A small hassock gives you a foot rest.

Since it moved so easy, this is how we traveled with it strapped in.

We took the Sunline swivel rocker out, put it in the basement and now it’s back in the T2499 and the swivel rocker from Staples is at my desk in the house. Our T310SR has the same blue swivel rockers. 2 of them actually. I still use them in the T310.

OK, JohnB, now you made me go surfing thru my pics to find a pic of my chair/ottoman. By the way, your desk chair looks almost identical to mine here in the house. OK, here is a pic of the chair I used in the Sunline.

Babies R Us has a great selection of the type Kitty bought. We went to Lazy Boy to look at recliners and measured them all to see if any of them were small enough to open in the Tweety without hitting the back of our dinette and none of them were. So...if you want to go with a traditional recliner make sure to check out the length of the available space.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I think we may forget the recliner and go with a chair and ottoman. We have a foam cube that would work as an ottoman; its light, and takes up minimal space. We'll scout around for a good swiveling replacement like those mentioned. Anne's opinion is the important one here as she uses the chair the most. I only use it in the evening when Anne wants to lay down to doze.

Just as soon as I resolve to forget a recliner, something like this pops up. We'll investigate.
Thanks for the tip.

OH, my chair does recline, not sure exactly how far, but it does recline, mine came from Big Lots back in Aug'05. I spend every evening in it as it's in the house now. The 5'er came with a wonderful recliner, that Gary claimed the very first time he sat in it, and we have put the original Sunline swivel chair out of Stan's totalled 299SR out there also.
