Need help locating where to find parts

i have a 1985 t1650 and love it just brought it out for 4 days out to a trucks gone wild event and the ac worked great fridge and stove top as well but we had one pretty big problem the doors been kinda funky and soft since we got it and it finally let go and the whole wooden frame is beyond repair and i had to limp it together enough to get home now i need to find another one to replace it there are no rv centers for almost 100 miles and i was wondering if anyone knew of a place to source parts for these smaller campers because the door is both shorter and more narrow then any other ones i have seen before ?? any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

thanks for the links but the problem is that the frame is messed up as well and the door handle is messed up figured it would be best to replace the whole thing

What's with the frame they are aluminum? Complete doors are really had to find and wicked expensive. I have rebuilt several doors they are pretty simple even for a not so experienced wood worker. The lock set is standard stuff.

the frame is aluminum but its bent up and twisted with hole through it from the door being used bent, and in no way reusable so it is a replace only kind of situation but its looking like i might have to make one, i have more then enough skill to fabricate one in the shop just want to buy new if i can

Here is an option, Axles, Trailer Wire Kits items in Johnson's Surplus store on eBay!

Another one RV Supplies and Accessories - Bontragers Surplus Inc. | Bontragers Surplus Inc.

I did buy and entire new window from Johnson for $20.

This one

I was able to see it, measure it, and select it and bring it home.

If you call either of those 2 places with dimensions they can check if they have one. It will "not" be an original like you have and it will come with the entire new frame. Also state square corner or round corner.

The bad side of this is the freight if you have to ship it. The cheap cost of a surplus door may have freight 2 times the door cost. But it is an option for a new door and the total delivered cost "might" be tolerable.

Many have rebuilt the doors on the older campers and even had to make all new frames and reuse the outer skin to then matches the camper. Those of us with white Sunlines, there is more surplus selection that is a lot closer to a drop in perfect replacement.

Hope this helps and good luck

John

In the event you need to rebuild. You may find extrusion manufactures may have something you may be able to use.
