I swear by Goodyear Marathons and would buy them any day over some other tire. My dad has the original set of Goodyear Marathons from his '92 car hauler and they still are holding up fine. He just bought new Marathon's this year anticipating a long trip to FL that never happened, but the old ones were kept. They've been garaged their whole lives and have no signs of checking whatsoever. Now the tread is just wearing down.
I have also seen the articles about the problems with the Marathon's. But, search the other tires and see how many articles there are on those. All tires will have their problems, but here's yet another happy customer for Goodyear's. Obviously Sunline needed to cut costs near the end here and started with tires. They got away from Marathon's in '98 and went to Maxxis, now Mission. Who knows, if they stayed in business another year, the new TT's may have come tireless
