Lights
I just bought a 1996 Sunline Solaris T-2053. I have three lights not working. They are two in bathroom and one outside the bathroom. The bulbs work but the lights don’t. Is there a fuse that covers those three or is it the lights? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks

Lights
Hi, is there a red switch on the wall outside the bathroom? If so, flip it up. A red light should come on and the lights in the b/r should also go on. If not, try to flip the switch on the b/r lights. If that doesn't work, change the bulbs.
Hope this helps you out.
Dave

Dave[/QUOTE. There is no switch for the lights and the bulbs work in lights over table which makes me think it’s either the lights or a fuse.

Welcome to Sunline Owners Club!
Now to your light issue.
There is a fuse, however it would cover a lot more than just those 3 lights. In you power converter/ fuse panel there would be a fuse that would handle most likely all the lights in the camper and maybe a few other things.
I do not know if your fuses are labeled, some of the older ones where not. You can back into which fuse is the lighting fuse by pulling a fuse one at a time and see what does not work. Again this may not be the real issue.
Does your camper have a exhaust fan in the bathroom and does that work? Odds are high that fan can be on the same circuit as the bath lights and one of them outside the bathroom. OR the fan does work, then that power wire or negative wires may be feeding the lights. There might be a connection issue at the fan but read below before digging into the fan.
Sunline usually ran both a hot and ground wire to all 12 V DC items. And the parallel daisy chained from 1 light or other item to the next with both wires. It is possible that either the negative or the hot wire for first one in the string is loose or corroded.
You most likely will have to pull down the fixture, up in the ceiling there's a hole and up in the holes are the wire connections with wire nuts. You can fish one connection at a time out the hole to have both exposed. A test light or a voltmeter can be used to check for 12 VDC power. Odds are high when you pull down the one with the issues, wiggling the wire nuts may start it working. Or if it is corroded bad enough you have to clean up the connection. And odds are high it will be the "last" fixture you pull down to be the problem... It seems that way anyway.
I also cannot recall which camper models had this illuminated red switch, it was usually outside the bathroom and not inside and not labeled what it is for. You stated yours did not have one so we can rule that out. If you do find it, the lack of power can be from the switch being off OR a connection problem at the switch. You would have to pull the switch and look for corrosion or loose wiring.
I am assuming since you just bought the camper, those 3 lights have never worked since you acquired the camper? Yes/no? If all 3 never worked and you tested the bulbs like you said, it could be a loose or corroded wire. Not that hard to correct, more of a search and hunt mission.
Hope this helps.
John

I think the exhaust fans started sometime in the 80s, but they were powered all the time and just operated by the switch on the vent. It wasn't until the mid 2000s that they added the wall switch to control the fan.

The red switches started on all models in the very early '90s. Before that for 10 years or so, there was still a switch in most models, but it wasn't illuminated.

Thanks Sunline Fan, question: When did they "stop" putting in the red illuminated wall switches?
By 2004 at least we have a bath and a fan wall switch "inside the bathroom" but no illumination on a switch outside the bathroom.
It seems there is an evolution to the infamous red switch...

Just looked up a few and it looks like they stopped after 2003. I think between the evolution of walk thru bath floorplans and more people retrofitting Fantastic Fans, the dual switch inside the bathroom makes more sense.
Not sure if the change happened at the model year change or somewhere within one of the years. I'd have to dig into my archives to research that.
