Leveling jacks

Hello, we just purchased our first TT. A 99 Solaris
Cranking the jacks down and one of them, the bolt came completely out. After looking, the nut and washer are missing.
Are these standard C-jacks, does anyone know
The bolt is about 5 ft long
I'm just wondering if the jack is stripped and needs replacement

Welcome bljohns69! Congrats on your new Sunny!

On the stabilizers, which is what I think you mean, when you said the 5 ft long bolt came out, I'm assuming this is the all threaded rod that goes between the 2 folding ends of the scissors stabilizers? I know, we all use different words to try and explain these things.

Stabilizers are an option on a Sunline. Not all had them, at least from Sunline. If the camper was ordered from Sunline by the original selling dealer with stabilizers added to it, Sunline used different styles/brands pending the weight and size of the camper. If they were not ordered with the camper by the dealer, then either the dealer might have installed some brand the customer requested or it was sold without any and a prior owner installed some brand.

We can help better to know the model of your 99 Sunline, if you know the brand of the stabilizer and the ideal thing, post a pic of what yours looks like and we can see what you are seeing.

We can then help better to know what you have, the condition it is in and how/where to get parts and or replace.

Here are some of the types Sunline provided over the years. This is a all in one unit on a 2004 T1950 that the entire stabilizer frame has 2 pad feet. One unit at the front and one at the back. This type was on apprx 5,000# GVWR campers. The stabilizer threaded rod is about 6 ft long and the frame of it spans the width of the camper.

Here is the whole stabilizer unit off the camper during some restoration work

These are what we call, scissors stabilizers. They are individual stabilizers, most times 4 of them, one on each corner of the camper. The threaded rod is about 2 to 2 1/2 feet. This type was on 7,000# to 10,000# GVWR campers and larger, except large 5th wheels. This type was made by BAL.

BAL is a good quality brand that Sunline used a lot of on the stabilizers. These guys https://norcoind.com/bal/index.shtml

Heads up, today there is a lot of junk, thin, dirt cheap stabilizers for sale. If you go to buy some, ask before buying in case one of our members had some of the junk ones not worth the money.

Hope this helps

John

Would replacing the bolt and washer fix it?
