The model is a 17 1/2' SB, year 1976-1978.
There are two more places to find the VIN, since your closet paper is missing:
1) It may be difficult to see in this location, but it is stamped into the metal on the side of the coupler, left (woods) side of the trailer. It looks like the original coupler, so it should be there. You'll notice the coupler assembly is a piece of metal, welded to the A-frame frame rails that protrude from the front of the trailer. The VIN is stamped into the left side of the coupler assembly, not the A-frame rail, at the back edge on the left side. It's a light stamping and years of added paint to the frame and/or rust can make it hard to read, but it should be there.
2) Inside the main entry door, there's a sill plate that connects between the door frame and the floor. Basically prevents you from catching your foot on the door frame and tripping when you go out. There should be 3-4 screws that hold this curved plate down. Remove those screws. The plate should pop up with not too much trouble. Once removed, there should be a small aluminum tag there with the VIN stamped on it.
Because the trailer was built prior to 1980, the VIN is actually a serial number, and is only 5-6 digits long. The normal 17 digit VINs didn't come until late 1980. A DMV should recognize the year being older and not give you a hard time about the shorter VIN, even though some states may.
