Question Furnace Thermostat

I have a 1983 sunline. While using the furnace for the first time I reliezed that it has a 14 degree spread between turning on and shutting off. It is a hydro-flame thermostat. Is there any kind of adjustment that can tighten up the spread? Or will I need to have a new one? Thanks for your help.

Quite a few of us have ditched the standard RV thermostats in favor of digitals of one kind or another. Even the very inexpensive digital thermostats have extremely tight set points.

There are a lot of instructions out on the net to be found on a google search, but right in the Files area here on SOC are instructions on installing a Hunter brand digital thermostat. There are also several threads going back a few years on the topic with lots of good tips and details. Here's a link to the file that I put up here two years ago:
Sunline Coach Owner's Club - Sunline Owner's Files - Duotherm to Hunter conversion chart

Here's another one: Sunline Coach Owner's Club - Sunline Owner's Files - Hunter Digital Thermostat Modification

The Hunter is very popular because it is very inexpensive, found in WalMarts everywhere, and extremely easy to adapt for RV use.
