Drain Shutoff

Sorry for posting this but I just bought a solaris a few weeks ago and I cannot find the drain valves for the water tank or water heater. I found the two drain lines that came out of the bottom next to the water heater but no drain valves. I looked under the bed and inside the electric cord compartment. I see valves but they are for bypassing the water heater. Secondly I cannot get any water to flow to fluish the toilet, the previous owner had the coach winterized but I am not sure if there is a central shutoff for the toilet and drain valves or not. Any help would be appreciated. The water flows freely thru the camper from all faucets and shower but not to the toilet.....

Left outside of the trailer, under the skirt, not far from the fresh water fill door? Should be a white plastic half turn valve if it's original. The drain for the water heater is inside the door on the outside, (see pic) it's a hex head plastic or brass cap. If it's plastic don't over tighten it.

Hi BWaits,

What year and model is the camper?

If you crawl under the camper, the fresh tank should have a drain valve or a tube that runs to a drain valve some where on the bottom perimeter of the tank. Knowing what year camper helps tell us we can point to what vintage it looks like.

The drain plug on the HW heater is outside behind the door panel, looks like what FiveO racing has his socket on.

The 2 drain lines hanging out the bottom of the camper. That are what we call , low point drains. Up inside the camper directly above those 2 drains lines are valves. They may be buried inside a cabinet or under a bed pending your floor plan. But they should be straight up from the pipe you see under the camper.

By passing the HW heater are not drain valves, they just bypass the heater for winter anti freeze treatment.

The toilet, if original, odds are high there is no shut off valve for the toilet put in by Sunline. That said a prior owner may have added something. OR the toilet water valve may have a problem.

Are you using the onboard water pump or the city water pressure fitting on the side of the camper to pressurize the system? This will not change the toilet fill, just asking so we know what water source you are using.

The answers are generic and do not know if a prior owner made modifications.

Hope this helps

John
