Hi Paul,
You shouldn’t have a lot of wobble, particularly forward and backward. It sounds like you may not have had your stabilizer jacks tight enough or they loosened up, which they often do because of ground settling.
Did you have wheel chocks in? Do you have the scissor type stablizer jacks? It's best to put blocks under the scissor type jacks so they don't get extended too far, that will help in stabalizing the trailer. I find that if the stablizer jacks get exteneded too far, we feel more wobble.
I put 2 wheel chocks between the tires, wedged into each tire in either direction, then stabilize the trailer. I put blocks under the stabilizer jacks then extend the jacks until they’re snug, then turn them another ˝ - 1 turn.
We never had forward - backward movement or wobble.
This year I got one of the BAL locking wheel chocks,
