Burner jet dometic refreg

Refreg works on electric not Gas. I took it apart and the Burner Jet has a clear film across the edge. Looks like two small holes - for gas? or a bug??
Should I remove the clear film or is that the way it is supposed to be?? Help!!
and Thanks
p.s. any and all answers here or flbradjr@gmail.com

A picture of what you are talking about would be helpful but if it was ever run on gas something like tape would have melted off. When you try it on gas you should be able to hear the gas valve open with a pop. If you can't hear it that's a whole different problem. Model number would also help.

Burner Jet

per You Tube (see The Willful Wanderer) I put some solvent (paint thinner) in the burner jet - blew some compressed air thru it and reassembled. Works OK. Apparently the small holes were clogged. Thanks for input from you all. Foster

Great to hear! Yeah, the orifices do clog easily over time, as spiders and such make a home there.
