One thing to remember about any LED light. A LED is a Light Emitting Diode. Any diode, in any circuit, is designed to work with current flowing in one direction only. A diode will only work in one direction and not the other. If you hook it up wrong then it just won't work AND there won't be any damage to your wiring or light. No sparks no issues. Try your wiring one way and if that doesn't work try it the other direction TADA ! The older Incandescent lights will work in either direction. If, on the other hand your LED won't work in either direction you most likely have a wiring issue an internal break somewhere.
If you have a simple volt meter, put it on the DC scale and probe both wires, then reverse the probes until you see a reading of 12 volts or there about. That only tells you that, yes, there is voltage in the one light circuit. If all your old lights were working before this project then you should not have any issues

On the 12 volt DC wiring, Sunline often used black as positive +12 VDC and white as negative - 12 VDC for the internal 12 volt DC wiring. Internal being lights, vent fan, water pump, fridge etc. and the wire was a flexible stranded single wire. (not a romex cable)

You used the wording "neutral". This may have been a typo or misuse of the word by accident. In the 12 volt DC world the term "neutral" is not used. It is used in the 120 V AC world. And in the 120 V AC side of the camper the solid white wire is the AC neutral and the black solid wire is the hot wire. There is no + or - in the AC part of the camper.

If you need more, let us know.

Hope this helps

John
