Bedroom TV connection for 2363

Does anyone know why the bedroom TV connection is a cable sticking out of the wall instead of a Winegard plate?

I guess the rear connection does not require the amplifier. Not sure why though. Seems it would be much cleaner to use a non-amplified plate

The last trailer I owned had plates in both locations.

Hi Mike,

The TV cable connection in the bedroom runs off the Wingard plate, so it is also amplified when you have the amplifier turned on at the Wingard plate. That’s why a separate Wingard plate or amplifier is needed in the bedroom. The one amplifier boosts both TV outlets.

My only guess why it’s just a cable and not a plate is to allow room to pull the cable out from the wall to connect directly to the TV without requiring an additional cable. I know there’s a lot of cable pushed into the wall of our bedroom TV connection.

My '99 T-2453 is the same, amplifier plate at one end, and just the cable at the other end of the trailer.

My guess is that the cable is there to make it easy to install the TV in the cabinet where the cable is.

In the bedroom, where the switch and connector plate is, the TV would go on a flip up TV shelf on the wall. We took that flip-up shelf and moved it to the kitchen and picked up some nice counter space next to the stove.
