Battery Wiring

Some lowlife stole the batteries and boxes on my Sunline Saturn T-29A, my problem is I don't know which wire is positive and which one is negative. One wire is red the other is white. I have to put new ends on since they cut the wires but that is easy. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Red/Black is positive , white is negative. I just went through the same issue.

1965 C-85; Diesel 5spd manual ; 750 gpm;

Rode it to my first fires starting in '74 - started driving it in '76 when it went to second out behind a '76 Seagrave.

Would love to find out if it's still around.......and have it!!!

Our fire station in Joppa MD had one with a Detroit 2 stroke they stalled it one day backing out there was a small hill just past the door it rolled back and they let the clutch out it was not in reverse a Detroit will run backwards but it will make a real big mess!

Yeah, the '76 Seagrave had a two stroke Detroit in it. They demonstrated that running backwards quirk in the dealer delivery. Not fun.

The same crew also broke both rear springs drift starting it, that how ever was a killer truck. I was not a member of the club. The fire hall was next door to my shop and I did a good bit of free work for the dept. guess that was my ideal of "volunteer fireman"

Ya just gotta love volunteers and thanks Mainah for your help!

Most departments run on a very tight (or better yet non-realistic) budget, so every little bit of "free" help....helps us keep equipment and gear in working order!
