Bathroom shower floor rust

Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix a minor rust spot in the bathroom/shower floor? Here is a picture of the spot in question. Please let me know if a closer shot is necessary.

Thank you all. I also have question in other photo comments in my album, "1984 Sunline Travel Trailer T-1650". If anyone can view them and let me know in a private message you were able to make suggestion since notification are not given to photos if someone else has already comments, it would help a lot.

I did a bit of looking around and found THIS...

I know you don't need that much, but it is a place to start!

j2cool,

Hello and welcome to the group. It appears you have found a great older Sunline. A little TLC and you'll have it just the way you want it.

As for the rust in the shower stall. It has to be stained from something that was left sitting in it. The base pan is made of some type of plastic or acrylic type stuff, so it will not rust. I'm guessing someone set a can or something metal in the stall while it was wet and when the item rusted it stained the pan.

Try maybe a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Bar Keepers Friend, etc., and of course some "elbow grease "

I would also suggest that you think about lining the walls of the shower with a shower curtain if you plan to use it. I used a clear one when I lined the walls in my 1987 T-1661. I have never trusted the wallboard & trim to keep water from getting into the walls.

Thank you KanyonKitty! Great suggestions as always, you and Gary are so helpful. I was wondering about the shower. Have you ever had any trouble to troubleshooting leaks and repairing them? I noticed yesterday that water is getting in. I sent pictures yesterday to Gary's email. He could I could ask you or him questions. I don't see any holes or anything on the outside. I am wondering if I just need to update the seal around the windows but the leak is at the front (street side opposite the awning side) front. I also noticed ripples in the ceiling indicating a leak in left rear just outside the bathroom (both leak and other images of water damage were all included in the email). I think I will also create a new album specifically for trouble spots or areas I have concerns and have posted questions about in the past like the shower one here.

Thanks so much
