Back Wall with pics

Had some damage due to the roof leaking , which I fixed previously so I pulled the rear bedroom wall down and restudded it (where needed) and reinsulated where it needed and generally cleaned it up….( Wife has a lung problem, so I was concerned about mold etc and wanted to make sure everything was kosher )….She's always been a non smoker btw….Any how I may be repeating some things from other posts but we took some pictures to post….
When I got it tore down she decided she wanted to do the wall in fabric, so we went to Joann's fabric and she got what she needed , on sale of course and then off to Home Depot for moulding etc and she took to the fabric business while I did some much needed work on my gun room….Then we put the moulding on and she started snapping finished pictures….Lot of work that fabric business…She once did a van years ago and I think she may have forgotten the labor involvement... ha….We were concerned with the weight issue so that is the route we took….We used cheap mattress pads from Walmart between the bare wall and the quilted material….I also used JB hardener and 2 part epoxy on the rot in the corners high and low…..Here is the outcome….Dave….PS the pics don't do the quilted padded etc justice , it looks a lot better "live"…..Its about and inch and a half or so padded….

Dave and Diana,

WOW, that looks sharp!!! and really looks nice. It also added to the insulation value.

Nice looking and thanks for sharing.

Also notice the curtains and the valance. My wife did like that too. She recovered it all.

Cindy works with thread and cloth and I do the metal and wood....

…..Thanks John and Cindy….Diana's dad was a machinist….Her brother followed suit and her nephew also….Her Dad instilled patience in them all and it comes in handy….My self, I am the proverbial bull in a china closet...…..
