Question And speaking of Screens

I have a MaxxAire on my forward fan. I want to clean the fan screen and the inside of the vent but can't figure out how to remove it?

It has two small screws on either side Check
And a screw to remove the handle Check

But it seems to be stuck in place on one side??

Hum my Fantastic fan screen just's snaps in. Granted it is a tight fit but a good yank and it's out.

On mine, I also have to remove the 4 screws from the inside plastic trim to be able to drop the screens inside.

I am not taking about the MaxxAire fan itself. I have the one that covers the existing Sunline screened vent where there was no fan.

So are we taking the same thing here, the Sunline screen? I only found 2 screws?

Maybe I need to take a picture, never can hurt!

These pics may help.

Starts like this

Take the 4 screws out of the plastic surround. This needs to come out first

Then looks like this. Then take the 2 screws out buried up in the sides

Looks like this

Here is the vent with out the screen.

Some times the screen sort of clips onto the metal center divider if I recall right. I thought I had to pull it to one side to unhook and then it came down. It does not always come down when just the 2 screws are out.

You can see the small metal tabs at the very end of the center metal member. Those little tabs hook onto the plastic screen part. These are Ventline brand vents

Hope this helps

John
