1994 Sunline Saturn convert to LED lamps

Hi all, wondering if anyone has already replaced their incandescent bulbs with LED's. Can you tell me the exact replacement for the bayonet mounted lamps in the cabin lights? I'd like to just replace with the same base, but if I MUST I can replace the light fittings too. What did you do to your old school trailer (not so old school).

Thanks Kit

There are LED panels that use adhesive to stick to the top of the light fixture and then have multiple socket connectors for different .... sockets. You can find them all over ebay. I bought one on dx.com for our external door light. It came with 3 different connectors including bayonet. I didn't know the difference between the type of LED emitter and thought that all that mattered was the number of LEDs on the panel. I wound up with one really bright door light!

I think what you call bayonet is what Starlite LED's call wedge type base. Google them and call them with questions. Camping World sells them and other brands with wedge base. They are a tight fit but they do fit the sockets.

I've replaced most bulbs and find a dramatic savings of battery power. They're not cheap but saving battery is most important while dry camping.

I agree with an earlier post. They are all over Ebay. Most of the sites will have a diagram. It's either a round base or a blade-style base. The other part is the color of the light. That gets really picky. Some folks like a warm light, but those cal be expensive. I did mine based on the price. I bought mine for around $0.60 a bulb, and got a bluish color. I'm fine with that. My girlfriend is less than keen on it, but oh well. If you go to an auto parts place expect to pay $9 each. Use Ebay! I often camp dry, so the battery usage is a t a premium. I like mine.

I highly recommend the board type LED for an existing fixture either the stick on or a board made to the replacement it's self. They put all the light where you need it unlike the tower bulbs. The higher color temp bulbs make more light.

I have replaced the lighting in both the Sunline and our toyhauler with the flat stick on led replacements. Take out the regular bulb, clean top of reflector with supplied alcohol pad, stick up led panel and plug it in. Saves power and, even more important when it's hot outside, they run extremely cool. Replace just one light and you will be so impressed that you will replace them all. I got mine on Amazon in boxes of 10.
