1994 sunline 2160 price
Hi all! I was looking for some feedback on a Sunline 2160 I have on hold at a dealer. Its a clean unit with air, heat, hotwater, fridge, stove, etc. I was wondering if anybody can help me out with a good price as it is difficult to obtain a used price for Sunlines on the NADA website. As of now I have the dealer at about $5500.00. I think that is still slightly high for a 1994. Whats your oppinion?

Matt, that thing would have to be completely original and just pulled out of a garage from 1994 for it to be worth $5500. I bought both of my '94's in the $4000 range- the Saturn @ $4600 when nine years old and the Solaris @ $4500 when eleven years old. With those now 14-15 years old depending on the build date, I wouldn't touch one for over $4000.
The NADA on that coach, which is what I go by, is:
Low Retail: $2,890
Average Retail: $3,480
Is this the coach, at Sirpilla RV? If it is, assuming there's no leaks and all appliances work, I think $3800 would be a fair deal. It's a nice one with an aluminum roof!

If I did this right, Nada lists a 1994 M2160
M2160
PRICING
Low Retail Average Retail
Base Price
$2,890 $3,480
Options
AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING
110 Volt - 10,000 BTU (Roof Mount) $75 $95
Furnace $40 $50
APPLIANCES
Gas/Elec. 7 cu. ft. $195 $240
ENTERTAINMENT
T.V. Antenna with Inside Controls $25 $35
JACKS AND LEVELING SYSTEMS
Portable Camper Jacks $20 $30
MISCELLANEOUS
Awning $120 $150
LPG Conversion $145 $175
Monitor Panel $20 $30
TOTAL PRICE $3,530 $4,285
I guessed at some of the options.
If you really love the camper and it is in great shape, then price is a choice for you. Unless the dealer really wants to unload it, they may not drop in price. Or they may. You have to try and push to see. The worst is he will say no. Then the choice is back on you.
According to the book price I came up with, that may not be right, yes your price seemed a little high. But part of it comes down to the actual trailer condition and how bad you want it. And it is hard to actaully achieve buying a used camper for what the Nada says. Sometimes you get lucky, others, well you pay more.
Good luck
John

John,
A few things... the refer is a 5 cu. ft. and the Saturns didn't have a monitor panel.
Otherwise, do you think all the appliances need to be added on the NADA? I always understood that these were just there to choose if you had extras added on above the original equipment. I never click any of those anymore because the dealers, who just use the printed book, don't have those choices. The book just lists the base price, so I try to play on a level field with them.

First, you never pay their asking price. He's probably planning to come down $1000. Then, IF it's a trailer that is in wonderful condition that you LOVE and plan to keep for a long while I think it's more how much money you're willing to part with than the NADA value. Write into the contract that the price is based on a unit that ALL systems are in working order upon delivery. That way you know you won't be replacing something really expensive right out the door.

Thanks for the help
Thanks for all who have helped out. That is the camper at Sirpila and they were originally at $6900.00. I have no intentions of paying over $4000.00. I appreciate the help as this is my first camper. I thought I was getting a low price on the NADA site due to an error of my own. Wasnt sure if I should have been adding in appliances or not? This is a great website and is one of the reasons why I would like to own a Sunline! Thanks
