1986 Sunline 24' New Purchase

This is my first post and want to say thanks in advance for any help. I'm looking at a 1986 24' Sunline that is a 2 owner. They want $2500 and the trailer is in good to excellent condition in my opinion. My general question is are brakes, tires, and bearings for the axle readily available? My main concern is making sure the trailer can be towed 5 hours away and if axle parts are available? Would would it cost (ballpark number) to do some general maintenance? I'm looking at future down the road repairs. Thanks

1986 Sunline

We purchased an 1085 Solaris a few years ago and yes the trailer parts and axles including the bearings and seals are replaceable. Before I haul it 5 hrs away the bearing grease needs to be checked if the owner cant remember the last time he can remember that happening. Ours trails great and a real joy to work on, after all it is a 1985.

That is a beautiful trailer! Looking at the condition I feel sure the previous owner took care of the maintenance of the bearings. The decals are darn near perfect! That is the first year Sunline started using the tapered roof. It was a great idea and two years later Skyline started doing the same thing on their Nomads and Laytons. You got a super buy on that one! Hang on to her because there's not many around in that condition! Happy trails!
