Welcome to the Sunline Owners Club website! We joined recently and have found this to be a great place to learn about our Sunline. There's some really knowledgable folks here.

If your coach does not have a roof air conditioner already, I would think you've got a big roof vent in the center portion of your coach... 14x14 inches. That would be where they'd fit one.

Adding the non-ducted type of A/C unit to your coach would be fairly simple. There is probably an outlet (110v) on the wall that's on a 20-amp breaker that could be used to power the A/C unit. Does the converter in your coach still have the diagram showing which circuit does what?

I looked at the 1980 Sunline Travel Trailer brochure in the FILES section of this website. Which model do you have?

on our 1975 there is a 14/2 wire hid behind the trim ring on the roof vent
I would think that was to hook up an AC unit as it would go in place of the roof vent
take off the plastic square trim and look for a romex wire if found then look in beaker box for a unhooked wire there may also be a 12V wire for just a fan vent

I have a '79 13.5rd and the previous owner installed a small window unit in the rear window. If it's something you are interested in seeing more of, I can post some picks of the setup. The small window until is more than adequate to cool our little Sunline.
