I found the light

To my fellow 5 ver's. remember the great step light search.some have them and some don't.started looking around today and I found a light under my steps it was under the plastic step trim I think someone forgot to cut the trim out when it was installed So you may want to remove your trim and lookyou may get lucky.I'm changing mine over to a small LED bar light about 12" long.

Trailblazer is an unknown quantity at this point
Checked under out 5'ver step and found we had the step light installed but it was missing both the bulb and the lens cover. I checked the light socket with a multi meter and found that I had power when the porch light was turned on. Checking around I found a light bulb that fit but was unable to find a replacement lens.

When we were in Elkhart last month I found this Companion Way Light. This weekend I finally found the time to remove the old light and found this LED Companion light was an exact replacement. It fit perfectly in the recess under the floor and we now have a step light whenever we turn on the porch light.

Sorry I didn't have the camera handy when I did this mod.

I also found where the light is under my 2003 F345SR's steps. However, when I found it, there was no cover...just the bulb in the recess.

The bulb basically looks like a refrigerator light, but it is smaller in circumference. Actually, the bulb is not much larger than a fuse bulb... I have looked online, at Autozone, NAPA, Advance Auto, Camping World but I cannot locate the exact bulb. The bulb I found does not have any identification numbers imprinted in the metal rings, so i cannot determine the bulb identification number.

If anyone knows the bulb number, please let me know what it is so i can try to locate a replacement. If not, I guess I will try to make the companion way light work (may be difficult due to the limited amount of space I have to work with.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Bob,
the light is a marine courtesy light you can get at west marine, I found a LED tag light at autozone that I used to replace it much cheaper

Paul,

Thank you! I will use your advice and seek the LED tag light. I like the less expensive part! Hope to speak with you soon.
