Replacement gas hose
Some critters ate through the gas hose connecting the regulator on my Que to the metal pipe leading to the back of the trailer. It's a 2' length of hose labeled Accuflex 451-06 3/8" LPG VAPOR HOSE - 1 PSI Max. The regulator end connector is a nut that needs a 3/4" wrench, and the pipe end has a nut that uses a 15/16" wrench. Where can I get a replacement for this hose with the right connectors?

I can’t say for sure what you need, but I’ve had the same problem and bought an MB Sturgis hose from www.etrailer.com
I believe the connection sizes are standard in the RV industry, but can’t say for sure.
The size I bought is 1/2” female flare fitting X 3/8” MPT which come in different lengths.
Squirrels have eaten into my hose twice…..I now wrap tin foil around my hose along with a split loom conduit around that and no more problems.

Hi ibirman,
Not sure what year and model Sunline you have. The travel trailers normally had a longer hose then 2 ft, but if that is what yours measures, then that is what you have.
The hose part number printed on the hose is only for the hose. That number does not tell what the fittings are on both ends. And over the years, Sunline did the fittings differently.
This hose, the low vapor pressure hose, connects the main steel gas pipe which most times is a 1/2" pipe with male pipe thread on the end of it. Some of the hoses had a 1/2" NPT female fitting that screwed direct to the pipe and needed LP gas rated thread sealant on it. There was no swivel and you had to turn the hose itself and the brass fitting on the end.
But, they can also add a brass fitting (adapter) to the end of the pipe that had a female 1/2" NPT thread to screw on the pipe, then an LP gas male flare fitting on the end. In this case, the hose had a swivel fitting and you did not have to turn the hose, you just spin the fitting and the inverted taper inside the hose fitting locked up with the male flare fitting on the end of the brass adapter.
The other end of the hose went to the regulator and again, that fitting changed over the years. Some times it has a male 3/8" NPT fitting on the hose, and you had to turn the hose and fitting to screw it into the regulator. OR hold the hose and screw the regulator onto the hose if the hose was already connected to the gas pipe.
And, other times, there was a brass 3/8" NPT male adapter to 3/8" flare that screwed into the regulator. On the end of the hose then was a swivel 3/8" inverted female fitting that the fitting spun on the hose and tightened up on the male adapter on the regulator.
Point being, you need to sort out what each end of the hose has for a fitting. and get the correct size end on the new gas hose. They make these hoses on many different fitting configurations.
If you need help sorting this out, post pictures of both ends of your hose setup, and the overall tank, regulator and gas pipe that you have now. We can pretty much tell by looking it the size and what you need. Also tell us what year and model Sunline, that can help too.
Hope this helps
John

If you need help on posting pics, see here.
There are 3 ways to add pics.
1. Upload pics to a specific post attaching them at the end of the post.
2. Linking them in from a public viewable web photo hosting service you have.
See here for 1 and 2 https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f...html#post86041
3. You can upload pics to the forum in your own personal photo album. Then link them to anywhere in the text of a post. See here on how to create an album. https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f...html#post87945
If you still get stuck, let us know. Pic's go a long way in helping show things you are working on, and we really like seeing Sunline pics!
Hope this helps
John

Thanks JohnB, I have a 2007 Que. I ordered a hose with two 3/8" swivels and appropriate adapters and yellow thread tape for the two ends, I'm hoping that if I install a hose with standard ends it will be easier to replace if I need to in the future. Thanks for all the information you provided above, I think I'm good for now!

Ah, the Que, that helps explain the short hose. The Que is setup different then the more standard Sunline travel trailers.
Sounds like you have the situation under control with the adapters. Good for you, and good way to go.
