New Que Owner & member

Was camped up @ the Oshkosh WI fly-in this last summer. A camper came in & set up right across the road from us. Got to looking @ his Que. The wife & I had been talking about up grading & besides that our pop up was falling apart, A 1984 model that had seen it's day. Well, we, I should say got on the internet when we got down to Illinois to our son's before heading back to Florida.Found a dealer not to far from my son's. That is when we found out that Sunline Coach had gone out of business. Make a long story short, we found a dealer up in Milwaukee, WI that had two Que's, One each a SE & an RE. The wife & I looked over both types real good. The gent up @ Oshkosh had the RE model & that was what impressed us the most. We did look over the SE real close though. The price didn't matter, they both were the same price, no negotiating. By the time we got up to Milwaukee, the wife & I had already made up our minds, we wanted a Que. We bought the RE and hauled it down to Lakeland, FL via Kitty Hawk, NC. Been camping with it several times @ a couple of the State parks around the area. We really enjoy it. Just the right size for two people. It not only is easy to tow, setting it up is a piece of cake. I did order & installed an awning for over the back door from Carefree of Colorado. Hope to meet some of you some time. I got a gut feeling that owning a Que is going to become a cult.

Welcome....Nice to see another Que owner on this site. I am sure you will find the forum very informative and intresting. We also have the RE Que and love it. The only real problem is the A/C, like a handfull of other Que owners on the site had. I did not realize it till we were in southern Fla. last spring ( app 89 degrees). Does your A/C get real COLD ?
Enjoy your new Que!!

Welcome Cvik

Glad to have you with us and hear about your camping adventures.

Yes the factory is out of business But we have a strong support group here, and someone can generally point you on a lead of how to fix/repair or replace most anything. Just ask away.

Happy Camping

John

Joe,

We haven't had to use the A/C as of yet. It does work though. It is very loud when running. The A/C in our pop up was loud also. I beleive it is more noticeable do to the small area. We so far have just set a oscillating fan on the counter to move the air around.
Already found a few good ideas to improve upon. The wife really liked the one about opening up the panel under the bathroom sink. Had me do the same, just finished that honey due on the list. Waiting for the next job assignment. Retirement is fun!!

Yes the A/C is VERY loud even just the fan part. I just installed a Fan-tastic #6600 vent fan in the bathroom, so on a low speed at night it can not be heard. The A/C fan on low was just too loud for us. I got the A/C replaced but it does not seem very cold. I will find out when I get to south FLA. this spring...
Out of 25 Ques on this site 5 had the A/C problem. Thats 1 in 5...
NOT good !!

Just FYI, when we had our QUE the AC was so cold it would become a refridgerator in there. If that isn't the case with yours it may have a problem.
