Hey Quetse!

Hey! Do you happen to have any pics of the mod to get to the wasted space in the bathroom cabinet?

http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/ph...opic.php?t=404

I was wondering how that turned out. Where did you get the rubber stuff to line the opening?

Thanks!

I haven't been able to post pics. The website tells me they are too big, and I can't figure out how to shrink them on Kodak EasyShare. We just removed the panel and cut a hole. I used a regular sheet of notebook paper with the corners rounded off for the tamplate - so that's the size of the hole. You have to make the curves gentle (not sharp) in order for the edgeing to go smoothly around them. You have to be careful where you put the hole. I don't think ours is centered. YOu'll want to orient it whatever way works best with your pipe configuration. Also, make sure you mark one of the corners when you unscrew the panel so you know what goes where when you are trying to figure out the orientation of the hole. (we forgot to do this and it was trickier than you might think to match up the grain and figure it out) We lined the edges with that black stuff you buy at the auto supply store that is meant to edge a car door. Screwed the panel back on and that's it. There are some pipes on the floor, but I'm storing beach and bath towels in there, so we didn't bother to put in a floor. We figured towels aren't going to hurt anything. I shoved a bunch of rolls of paper towels into the back corner to the right. There is SO much space under there.

So, you did not leave it open? Do you have to unscrew the panel each time you wan to get stuff? I wonder if you could use velcro to put the panel back on?

We cut a hole in the panel then screwed it back on. It looks exactly like the opening of the book shelf in the front next to the sofa. I will try to figure out the picture thing in the next couple of days so I can post pictures of our mods.

Pam,

Very nice job, looks professionally done.

I can see how that opened up a lot of storage space for you.

Good job.

Kathryn,
The area to the right of the towels is also hollow, except for the wheel well taking up about 1/4 of the space. So, you can stuff extras back in there as well. I just can't believe Sunline didn't build it with these areas accessible.

Wow...those mods are great. Unfortunately (or rather fortunately) we won't be working on mods this weekend because we are taking out our Que for the first time ever. I'm so excited.

I have a couple of questions that I know the answers are somewhere in this forum, but I don't have time to search for them: 1. Someone mentioned a dealer had alternate interiors that could be purchased. I would love to have another color to change now and then, but I can't find anything out there on the web. 2. I have the RE and when I was trying to test out the bed, the slide out thingy opened and my leg fell through. I think someone out there had a solution of this.

Please help if you can.

A frined on mine (whoLURKS on this forum- come out dean! )had made a set of retaining straps for his SE. I am supposed to be getting pics of them, but from what I gather, they loop apound the coushin to keep it tight together. Sorry I can't be of more help!

We have the SE and only use the bed fully extended. Our problem was keeping the cushions from coming apart at the cracks in the middle of the night. Here's our answer, but I don't think you have the same problem.

Sunline bought the cushions from Page Foam Cushion Products Co. in Johnstown, PA. If Butler doesn't have any extras any more you could contact them. Maybe they're a small enough company that they'd make you an extra set.

Hi Pam - I can see the problems with the cushions separating too. Can you explain what your mod is (hard to tell from the picture).

Everything went great on our first trip out. The size of the trailer is perfect for the two of us. Bathroom was awesome! Bed was very comfortable. We did have a problem with the bed slide closest to the inside of the trailer. The screw was striped from the wood and kept pulling away from the finished piece of wood that you pull across the area. The way that is rigged up makes me a bit nervous...especially because you have to put your weight on that section to climb into bed. My husband is going to make something more durable...just don't know what yet. Any suggestions anyone.

Sorry I was remiss in answering your question. I don't think the RE would have the same issue with the bed as the SE. Our bed doesn't go all the way across the entire trailer, so it was easy for the end mattress section to slip off the sliding extension. The 2 little pieces of wood that you see are just little blocks screwed into the cushion back. Now when we lay that piece down last, the pieces of wood hang down into the slide out frame and keep the cushion from slipping outward.
