Hello Eclipse!

I am a fairly new Que owner (11/07) and I want to congratulate you on your work!

I have taken it out three times now and enjoyed it immensely with only one problem of leaking from water thrown up by tires into wheel well. I fixed this by caulking under wheel wells with silicone. Any thoughts on this?

A couple of questions if you don't mind:

1.) Is the roof decking plywood under the rubber, and if so how thick?
2.) Is there any companies out there that you know of that could put a fiberglass roof on it for me like the factory used to offer as an option on some Sunlines?

Thanks for any answers you may have in advance and once again...GREAT JOB on a wonderful design!

Ken

Que Questions

Very glad your enjoying your Que! as far as the water at the Wheel well, I have heard of some getting water there, I think you did what it will take to correct it, I would also see if you all could put some silicone the whole lenght of the wall both sides. the wall sits on top of the floor and i don't know if they ran a bead of caulk under it. your roof is rubber with what we called bud board, maybe 1/8 " thick, as far as getting someone out there to put a fiberglass roof on, not sure what to tell you there, sunline would do custom stuff, but never did fiberglass, did metal. your roof will last a long time if you keep up with mantaining it.

Carl

Happy Camping!Happy new year!

Carl,

Thanks for the reply! Actually I MEANT aluminum on the roof, not fiberglass. I am just not a big fan of rubber roofs. I had bad experiences with limbs tearing them on other my last trailer. I like to camp in remote forest roads.

Thanks for the tip on caulking the wall/floor seam. Do you mean on the inside or outside?

Thanks again!

Ken

Hello all,

Ken , if you get some 1/4" thick steel plates and mount them on the roof, tree limbs won't be a problem!

as far as caulking, I was thinking inside.
