Cover tape for side seams

Trying to reseal/caulk various spots on the Que exterior. I was wondering if anyone has seen replacements for the vinyl-like covering over the horizontal joint on the sides of the trailer.

Is it a tape or some kind of solid joint strip?

Is this the vinyl insert that covers screw heads on the aluminum strips on corner joints? If that is what you're asking about, it's used on many, if not most, rv's and travel trailers. It is another of those NON-SUNLINE parts used throughout the industry. Take a small piece of the old stuff with you to any RV dealer with a decent parts and accessories department. They'll be able to match it. It comes in rolls. Some places have it out on the display shelves along with tons of other TT parts.

Does this look like what you are asking about?

Thanks Steve but it is no what is pictured. It looks like they took a flat vinyl strip and glued it over the horizontal joint on the lower portion of the side panels.

How about you post a pic of what you need, and then we will be able to more directly help you find a source.

Hopefully the pics will load. One shows the cleaned seam with the tape removed the other shows the tape in place on the other side of the trailer.

I've been googling all over trying to find a flat thick "tape" and just don't see anything similar in all the rv places I have found.

Is that a transition from filon above to aluminum below? If so, is there solid material behind the joint, possibly the wood or aluminum framing of the trailer wall?

If that's the case, my Cougar uses a two piece trim for the same transition. It consists of an aluminum track which is screwed in place, and then a vinyl cover is snapped onto the trim. It can optionally be sealed on the upper edge with caulk. It looks like this and is available in several colors:

If worse comes to worse, you could go over the strip areas with Eternabond tape.
