Welcome sign

Our soninlaw gave us this wooden sign for Christmas last year, but we had no place to hang it. Ron made this out of PVC pipe, looks good!

That looks good. Are those solar lights on the end posts?

I'll have to get Charlie to change the elbows at the top of ours to tees so we can drop the solar lights into the pvc. Sometimes it's hard to get the lights in the ground. It shouldn't be too hard since he didn't glue it together so it can be broken down for storage and we can change the flag. We bought one part of a two-part "Cleveland Browns" sign at a flea market. He painted it and attached it to a 1x6 that he painted black. The ground stakes are from some old solar lights that quit working (and need to be painted white).

WOW, I love those neat PVC sign holders, and "the signs", well the only limitation there is your imagination. I already have "design visions" bouncing around in my head. Decisions, Decisions, Gary will have to decide if it should say "Jenkins/Young or Young/Jenkins" ???????????????
And I did make a little bit of work space in the shed, so once it's a tad bit warmer, it might be a project I get started on.

Yup, they are solar lights - the garden kind. There are lots of different styles, just choose what size you want. Ron also bought plugs to put into the T sections and drilled a hole so that the lights would fit in better. But either way is ok.

I really like the idea of the PVC sign holders. Also like the use of solar lights used on the top corners.

Please don't be sharing any of these ideas with Gail. My honey do list is way too long as is.

Do you own a cutter-rigged sloop? (As seen on sign)

Nope, but Ron is a die-hard sailor, or at least he used to be, lol.

We used to have a Jeanneau sb, then switched to a Dutch Canal boat (built in Holland), spent 11 years on it (mostly in Fl), then 1 year ago we sold it and bought our Sunline. Time to move on... but we still love to be on the water.

Tell Leo I'll post a pic of our sign as soon as I can take one. Penny made it from fabric and it hangs on a real estate sales bracket I found.

It's in the lower right, next to the tree.

No weight, compact, and ... unless Leo sews, he's off the hook.
