New Door over head of Beds

Well, here are a couple of pics of the new door and what I have in place of the center being wood. This currently is a temporary setup, as I'm working on somethng SPECIAL Don't want to say in case it won't work.

I like it!

H'mm I can make the frame and Cindy can sew up something to fit in the panel. Good idea. Thanks

John

Thanks John,

That's what is so great about this site, when someone does something, it often sparks ideas for others.

I am awaiting the phone call telling me the door for over the sofa is finished, that WILL have a wood panel in it so that I can still fasten the atomic "QUIET" clock on it.

Leaving tomorrow for Williamsburg, VA for at least 4 ngihts, maybe more

Wow Kitty, that looks top notch and looks like it came from the factory!

What a cool idea to have it made into a picture frame!

Kitty - where did you get the hardware for the doors?

Kathy,

I was able to get the satin finish knob at Lowes, but they didn't have the hinges, so I bought the shiny hinges(going to use steel wool or very fine sand paper to see if it will make them blend better , but I'm going to check a kitchen cabinet place for the satin finish hinges. Still wiating to hear that my door for over the sofa is finished.

And I'm thinking now, that I'd like to have heated tanks and enclosed underbelly(on Sunny not me )

Our Lowes had the satin hinges, but were originally out of them. I had to go back twice before they got them in. You might want to check back at Lowes because they do carry them.

Thanks for the info Pam. I've checked back in there twice, but I'll check again, and if I get near a Home Depot I'll check in there too. The pressurized "strut" that holds the cabinet door in the up/open position arrived while I was down in Williamsburg, VA. I caught a deal on E-bay for them, I got 2 pair delivered to the house for 11 bucks.

So, sadly, now Sunny is once again winterized with no plans to travel again until Apri 4th, when I go back down to Williamsburg to host the Open Roads Singles GTG.

Well, got to get something accomplished today, as I spent most of yesterday with the greyhound rescue group doing a Meet n Greet.
