Tweety gets a Pantry
The only thing the Tweety needed was a little more counter space and a pantry. We bought a maple kitchen wall cabinet from Lowes, and used the flip table top as the top. It is screwed into the back of the dinette seat. Yes, it is right there as you come in the door, but it doesn't really block the door enough to be a bother. Seems like it might be a nice place to sit a TV too.
Here's the BEFORE picture with all that open area....
Also the screen door mod keeps Pepper from ruining the screen, and the bar keeps me from pulling the slider thing out every time I close the door
And here's the AFTER...

Looks real good. Would not know it's an aftermarket installation. I bet it will be very useful.

Quetse,
I am interested in the bar that you have to hold the slider on the door. Mine keeps on geting pulled out or falls out if the door is slammed. Any advice or close ups would be a great help. If I do this mod, maybe I can delay the wire brushing and painting of the undercarraige .

The screen door bar won't keep the slide from fallng out when you slam the door. It's a great grab handle for pulling the door closed though, and keeps me from grabbing the slider. We got it at Camping World.

The cabinet was $107 at Lowes. But, look for the $10 coupon on the back of your latest mailer if you're on their mailing list. We already had the top, matching knob and all the screws and such for installation.

Pam and Steve,
Excellent job – looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
And I’m sure that will give you the extra counter space and storage you’re looking for.
We put springs on our screen door so the door automatically closes. If you haven't done this you may want to look into it. I think you can get the RV screen door springs/closers at Wal-Mart or Camping World for around $5 or $6

Pam and Steve
Really nice job. Looks great and thanks for sharing.
Did you stain it? Or did the Lowes one already come that way? Hard to tell in the pic. Just trying to compare notes on the stain.
I finally found how to buy stain that matches the Sunline Maple. I took a draw front down to the local Sherwin Williams paint store, took a pieces of bare sanded wood I was making things from, and they made me a quart that exactly matches in my view point. It is s custom color but they can match it. I have tried several premixed out of the normal lumber yard route but none come close. Sunline must of used a custom color.
Thanks
John

It came that color!
We spent 6 nights in it last week, and now I can't imagine not having it. That little extra counter is very handy.
