TV viewing in 264SR

Hi Folks,

Been a while since I posted anything here. My wife and I have been seasonal camping the last two seasons and plan to at least a few more. We find the couch in the 264 very uncomfortable. I have seen the thread on how to remove it and replace with chairs. Going to do it in the next several weeks. The other issue is the position of the TV above the fridge is not a very good place to view it. Has anyone made any mods to their 264 for tv mounting?

Thanks,

I believe JohnB did a mod with an extension arm that pulled the TV out of the cabinet. You'd need an LCD to do that. They all have standard VESA mounts and there are all kinds of extension arms out there. You may have to do some carpentry to get solid attachment for the arm and weight leveraged off it. Also, some that use these arms, remove the tv for travel.

Hi Jim and Kathy,

I do not have your model, however Henry reminded me of a TV cabinet mod I did a few years back that may work on your model. After doing this, I wish I had done this a long time ago as it solves a lot of the space issues, both in the cabinet and to not have to move the TV set off the bed each time on pillows for traveling. We also now store the VCR/DVD player in this came cabinet.

See here. http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f6...ade-14938.html

Here is also a hit on our site using the Google Custom Search for SOC

tv mount - Google Search

And another one

Those links may give you some ideas to build from.

Hope this helps and good luck

John

We took out the sofa and put in 2 lazy boy recliners several years ago. Also installed swing arm for TV which allows viewing in bedroom as well. Trailer closed at camp for winter. If you're still interested, I'll send pictures when camp opens after 5/8. We have a 2005 264SR And love it. Unfortunately, we'll probably be selling it. Won't be returning to camp as seasonal after this year. Ready to hit the road again and hubby wants something smaller and lighter. We were so lucky to find this camper back in 2007. Saved the sofa so can be reinstalled for new owner if they want.

tv relocating on 264sr

Hi

I recently moved our tv to the face of the freezer door . I made a new flat panel for the freezer (retaining the original if I ever want to put it back) and mounted the tv to this panel, I also installed a small sound bar on the edge of the shelf above the refer.

Much easier on the neck and the sound is great.
