Taking out a piece of closet wall/tv/backing

Any advise on cutting out, and then replacing the thin panel in the bathroom wardrobe on my sunline 2975 ?

I want to mount a LCD tv on the wall that is between the dinette both and the bathroom.

The wardrobe closet has a thin panel lining all 3 walls. I need to remove enough of it so I can put a backing brace if you will, to permanetly mount my 24in lcd TV, I finally broke down and bought.

I haven't made up my mind that I will do this until hopefully I get some input.

Any info appreciated.
