Just a thought here...
If I recall correctly, I don't think that most automotive scissors jacks have the same reach as the stabilizer jacks. If memory serves, you only get about 8" to 12" of extension on a scissors jack. The ones on TT's seem to have a much longer extension, maybe up to 24" or so.
That said, it really just means you'd have to carry some more cribbing blocks with you. Most TT folks carry some anyway to deal with those sloping campsites. My preference is 4"x4" and 2"x4" stock cut into 11" pieces.
