New Power center 1998 T2570

Hi guys,

Well, I finally traced my power problems to the old Magnetek 6336 power converter. I ordered the PD4635 and installed it today. It works like a champ and only took about 45 mins to install. The old one was burning up the batteries, blowing lights and, put a hum through the radio.

Hi Peety,

Good for you. The Progressive Dynamics [url]http://www.progressivedyn.com/pd4600_converter_replacement.html[/ul]
is a very good convertor and battery charger. I also upgraded mine but different model PD9260C when the American Enterprizes one I had fans drove me nuts.

You and your batteries will be happier campers now.

John

Got and pics of the install? We are a curious bunch

pd4635 installation

I am having to do same here, change out old magnetek 6332 to new pd4635. I am no electrician, but I try and succeed on most things i attempt. On a scale of 1-10 how hard is the installation of the pd4635? My rv tech wants to charge me 150.00 to install. Thought id save some money , but if too many wires to trace then maybe i better leave to him. Any tips you can give on ez installation?

sorry it took so long for me to reply.....

1. Disconnect your shore power and batteries
2. pull off your dc feed wires one at a time and label what they are
3. Remove the DC distrobution board and disconnect the battery and converter wires
4. Disconnect the AC Power to the Converter
5. Slide in your new converter, it already has locking tabs on it to secure it to the box
6. Install new DC Distro board and connect Converter and Battery wires
7. Connect Converter AC power wires and ground
8. Connect dc feed wires
9. Connect batteries and shore power (Shore power LAST)

Thats it... its real easy

The directions that come with it are very easy to follow and you don't need to spend $150. All you need is a flat tip and phillips screw driver, pliers and, alittle patience.

Good Luck
