I almost would rather have a tooth pulled without Novocaine than to do this again! However I LOVE the results!
First I had to pull up the carpeting which is a pain as Sunline laid the carpet and THEN built the walls

Using a carpet knife at this wall was almost fruitless as there were many staples that were at the wall line. Soooo it was a tedious process of some cutting, pulling out staples and pulling out as much carpet as I could so I could get the tiles under the wall as much as possible

When removing the the carpet covered board on the front of the trailer I thought it would be covering something, wires perhaps. Well guess what the large board was covering? Nothing! Yup, makes me wonder why Sunline used this big of a board?

Because Sunline did not take the sheet vinyl all the way to the the front, I bought some cheaper vinyl tiles to cover the sub floor and I roughed them with sandpaper so the new tiles would stick. I also stagger them, laid whole ones and cut some so that the seams would not match up with the new tiles I was laying

Apparently, I deleted the pictures of the whole process

so this is what I did
1. After pulling up carpeting, vacuumed and washed the floor before laying new tiles. I kept the vacuum handy so I could vacuum during the process when needed to keep any dirt or debris off the flooring
2. Cut the small rolled rubbed baseboard with the carpet knife at the closet point to whatever it was against. Vacuumed behind the rolled rubber as there was a lot of dirt that accumulated
3. Laid the new tile
4. Used mineral spirits to get off any clue from the peel and stick tiles on the new floor
5. Washed new flooring with soap and water to remove any mineral spirits
6. Caulked the rubber base board back in place with clear caulk
7. Caulked most seams in the new flooring with the clear caulk
8. Used 1/2 in wood trim on the side wall, frt and jack knife sofa area
I have yet to do 6-8 steps but will get these done shortly so I can use her again however,...Drum Roll please

..... the almost finished project!
