Misc Improvements to our 2553

Working on a few things to refresh my unit.

1) painted the rear door window frame, interior and exterior.
2) had limo tint installed on the window while it was out before reassembling.
3) replaced the screw cover trim around the doors and hatches.
4) installed limo tint on the lower half of the window next to the bedroom entry door.
5) Installed single handle faucets in the kitchen and bath vanity

Nothing too exciting but I seem to enjoy sprucing up this unit more than I have any other unit. (This is my third but first Sunline).

Next stop would be to replace the hardened shrunken window glazing beads and paint the front door window trim.

You are a tough crowd. I love it..... OK, just got back from A-Bay, NY so here are the pics:

Door window frame, I only got the back one done, but what a difference!

I want to thank everyone on here for giving me the confidence to try these things on my own and the willingness to throw me a lifeline when I may get a bit over my head.

For the screw trim, the only tip I found was when going around the corners, set the inside radius first then squeeze and set the outside radius next. That seems to make smoother corners. When I did it the opposite way, I seem to have some "buckling" of the trim as it was being compressed into the corner vs stretched a little going around it. Just my experience. Oh, don't forget the toothbrush to clean out the track from grim and metal shavings from the installation of the frame. Have a good one.

Small amount of heat from a heat gun can help install the plastic trim. Somewhere between helping the installation to melting the plastic.
