MaxxAir cover on FantasticFan?

Has anyone on here ever put a MaxxAir cover over their FantasticFan? The other three vents have the vent covers and I was curious..

I picked up and installed a Fan/Mate cover at one of the RV surplus stores in Elkhart IN. They had the best price I saw for this model. Here is the link to the one I have:

Fan/Mate.

This was not the price I paid. IIRC I paid somewhere around $45-$50 for it. Interesting the first day I went to the surplus store I was told the price was $70. I said no. Went back to the same RV surplus outlet the next day and ask someone else and they gave me a $45-$50 price.

Also Fantastic Fan now make a cover specifically for use over their fans
Here is the link:

Ultra Breeze

Gary,

I used a Maxx-Air 2 over the fantastic fan, since the 2 had a lot more venting. No issues.

Thanks for the replies!

The reason I asked about it, is because I have one of the MaxxAir VC's from the T-299 that I was thinking about putting over the FantasticFan.. Since nobody has wanted it and the other unit had the AeroFlo vent covers, I guess I will try installing it on this camper.

Just don't use a standard maxxair vent cover over a fantastic fan. Supposedly this will cause some problem (airflow?) and cause your fantastic fan to fail prematurely. I've been told this several different times by different dealers and individuals.

Interesting Jeff....

I wonder what makes them any different than the AreoFlo covers.. We never had a fan problem with them..
