Lux digital thermostat ??
Anyone put a lux digial thermostat in their Sunny ?
Don't know if the Hunter thermo's have the same feature or not ? If they please let me know how you like it.
I'm curious as to the "Value" of the adjustment for the Delta temp setting. It seams like you can adjust how quickly the furnace/air comes on. Seams like it can be adjusted from like .5 to 4.5 degrees.
Factory Duo therm varies several degrees, and of course your not as comfortable. As I get older I'm more sensitive to this, as my father used to say "old age doesn't come alone".
Any thoughts, commments etc appreciated.

The Hunter is +/- 1 degree and it is pretty spot on. You set it for 68 and when it drops to 67 it kicks in.
There is a slight heat anticipater on it too. They call it Span
This is the one I have, only it was $20 at Wal-Mart. It is not a programmable one but it works well.
Hunter Fan - Thermostats - Just Right
The manual. http://www.hunterfan.com/uploadedFil...als/42999b.pdf
The Hunter does offer a Span setting. I have never had to move it. The span settings show up of the last page of the instructions.
After having the Hunter, I will never go back to the analog. The only down side is you have to change the batteries. I do it annually when I change the smoke alarms. I do keep the analog in the camper as a spare. Never had to use it yet, but it is in the spare parts kit.
I am very happy with the Hunter. Do not know about the Lux.
Hope this helps
John

Thanks for the info on the hunter, I'll take a look at it, at Walmart.
I really just want to keep the temp "Span" less than several degrees,
+1/-1, seams just right.
Thank again.

Jon, With setting the off/on run times so close your going to really eat up some fuel. What the "span" is to allow for the leakage of treated air from the conditioned space. Then the heater or A/C will pump their maximum treated air until the acceptable temp is reached. The longer the lag-time the more efficient the equipment will be because it will run less. You need to find your acceptable "lag-temp". If that is +1/-1 then so be it. If you do use such a close setting you will be running your thermostat at a lower temp for heating, higher temp for cooling, setting because of the temp of the conditioned air being almost constantly dumped on you.
You might find more comfort by sealing leaks from the TT. Double pained windows or clear covers over the windows or insulating unheated spaces from heated spaces might be more comfortable because the temperature change will not be so drastic/quick and not so noticeable.
Hope you find that happy medium without a lot of extra work.

Jim
I do have somewhat of a concern about fuel usage as well as wear & tear if you will, with lhe "frequency" of run times increasing etc. I have taken about all the steps I can, short of changing windows, to weatherize the camper. Sealing off the Bedroom, redirecting the heat duct from it to the living area, sealing off bathroom, shuting it's heat duct etc.
JohnB said he really likes his, so let's see what he has to say.

You might be better off with the bath open, maybe. Hope you find a good answer for you. Nothing like being uncomfortable. It is like being married and letting the wifey control the thermostat, your never comfortable.

I did not add the hi/lo switch. I was always going to but I have yet to ever need it so for now it is down the list of want to do's. I just use it on hi all the time. My big camper needs all the AC it can get.
