Articulating TV wall mount MOD T1950

Just a quick mod of adding a articulating wall mount in my T1950 TT. Since the wall I wanted to add a tv wall mount was hollow(back side of shirt closet), my thought process was to use a board inside the cabinet, with it resting on bottom of cabinet. T-nuts and bolts would be anchored to the board to support the TV instead of the hollow wall. It seems fairly sturdy, I will not leave the TV attached to mount while traveling. TV is a lightweight 19in LED that weighs 5.3lbs. TV is watchable from front couch and swivel chair. It also articulates for bed viewing. Articulating mount was bought from A__zon for $13. Pictures are attached to show the result. (This post was originally posted in the testing area.)

Nice, far better job then the one a previous owner did to mine, they used 2 1/2 screws in a 1 1/2 wall just got through repairing and painting the damage on the outside wall.

Nice job. Had a similar mount in our 2363. I just put a piece of 2x4 on the inside of the overhead kitchen cabinet and put the lags into that. Was able to swing the TV in all sorts of directions. We eventually put a 23" flat screen up and there was plenty of room.

rodsun, I really like that. I may do the same to our 1950. the factory shelf gets in the way at times. I see you are in Mechanicsburg. We are in Mount Joy...........

hburkholder,,,If you decide to go this route, Don't over tighten the bolts that go from the outside of cabinet to the inside, as the outer wall will start to pull in (its a hollow wall). I also put duct tape on the back side of mount to avoid marring the cabinet. Really happy with the result of the mount install. This way the swivel shelf can be used for extra counter space or a place to put a dvd player.
