I too think a Sunline get-together is a great idea and we would do everything to try and attend one.

FYI – I believe State Parks in PA do not allow pets, for those of you that typically take their pets camping with them.

Some PA State Parks have designated pet sites, but it's a limited number of sites, which wouldn't be condusive to a get together. It would be kinda fun to put some faces with everyone's names here

Being brand new to this site and brand new as a Sunline owner, I think it would be an awesome idea to get together somewhere. I live about 10 miles from Sunline's factory and no one in the area is saying anything lately about the closure. Just purchasing my new Sunline about three weeks ago and I tried to do some local digging for information. Only news I could get is my local dealer (Stotzfus RV in Adamstown PA) still has some new models left and is more than willing to service Sunline in the future.
I feel like I am a part of an elite group.

Our family is heading along the Northeast coast, going as far as Maine the end of July for two weeks and coming back through NY.

Keeping with the Michigan theme, the Mackinaw Mill Creek campground near Mackinaw City frequently hosts groups. We stay there once or twice a year and there's usually a group of some kind camping out. The place is large enough to accomodate them with no trouble. Last time we camped next to a group of Airstream owners visiting light houses and they seemed to have a heck of a good time. The location may be somewhat out of the way for east coast folks, but it's easy to get to and there's plenty to do. I"ve often thought that given the enthusiasm Sunline owners have for their units, a get-together would be a lot of fun.

Hi Don,

I haven't been to Mackinaw Mill Creek in a few years, but I do specifically remember the sites were very small. I have a pic of the 2653 there in 2000. I try to find it and post it later. I think some sites could be difficult for those who have larger trailers. Since I'm around an RV resort all summer long, I get to hear things about people's adventures and one thing is how small the sites are. Last year we had a Marathon Coach (Prevost conversion) rally come in and they traveled by bus or on their own up to Mackinaw/St. Ignace. Just something to consider...

Here's the picture I promised. I also forgot that it is always really windy there. The pic was taken shortly after we arrived, so the awning was down. Soon after, it went up and didn't come down for the rest of the stay. I'll admit, these sites are not as small as some at the Yogi in Sturbridge, Mass., but they are cramped. I specifically this trip was the first that we took the dog and being the adventursome puppy that he is, he loved getting into the neighbor's sewer.

I suppose it depends on your point of view, but we've never felt terribly crowded at Mill Creek. The sites aren't spacious by any means but there's enough space (at least in the sites we've stayed in) to be comfortable. We usually stay along the lakefront and I can honestly say we're usually the smallest unit in the area. It's almost always hard to find our 2499 for all the fifth-wheelers and motorhomes.

I thought of Mill Creek when reading this thread because so many groups stay there. I assume it's because the campground is good at taking care of them. That part of Michigan is interesting (Macinac Island, lighthouses, Mackinaw City, Saint Ignace and so on), it's easily reached by interstate, and the campground is pretty good. It's a natural for a Sunline get-together.
