John,
There are now 4 of us (you, Jon, Hutch and us) for Friday and Saturday. Sure wish we could stay 3-4 nights again, but work situation won't let us.
Heard from Chris and Julie and he said they will try to make it again. If others don't book, we may need to call this the moderator M&G instead of the Midwest M&G . Looking forward to seeing you again and meeting Tom and Mary.

Ruth and I are trying to keep that week end open, but I have a question for those who are familiar with the campground.
Trees have a habit of dropping sap in the spring, and I am not looking to have to clean the roof right away, so are any of the sites in the open, and if so, which ones do not have overhanging branches?

If you pick any campsite starting next to Dona (Clueless Campers) there are no trees to worry about. In fact IIRC the only 3 to 4 trees in the entire row with the most between Sunline Fans camper and PT Hutch this year as I was in PTHutch’s last year.
We are heading out camping tonight, YEH!!! So I will not be back until Sunday night but
Sunline Fan and Dona can help here too.
HEADS UP. There is a low bridge on the way to camp that will prune off the AC unit. Have to get that back up in this post for those who do not know about it. This is worse then tree sap….
Here are some pics of last years
This was us. PTHutch is in this site this year and next to him will Sunline Fan and then we will be left of Jon's and then Dona and Charlie.
And here is "The Camper 2" on it's landing pad.... Never camped on concrete before...
Here is Dona and Charlie
Here there are all lined up. No trees once past Dona and Charlie where they are camping this year.
Here is a pic from Sunline Fan’s collection on his advance mission to check out the full hookup sites.
Here is last years M & G with lots of pics http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/ph...er=asc&start=0
Hope you can make it.
John

Hi Roar,
I don't think any of the remaining pull through sites have overhanging trees.
19, the closest to the pool (yet still across the road and blocked by another site across the road too), has a good amount of pine trees surrounding the end of the site to block you from the noise of the pool (though I doubt there'd be any at that time of year), but the trees are relatively low and don't come anywhere near the parking pad. In fact I don't think they are even much higher than most units. I don't believe any of the other trees overhang here, but I'm not 100% positive. If you'd like, I can contact Michelle to confirm this.
Like John said, all the other ones left on the other end don't have any trees. Some of the back ins toward the back of the park are open too, though some aren't.
Jon

Thanks John and Jon!
With your information and pictures I could make a correlation between the site map and the Google map, which I hadn't been able to make sense out of before.
Called the campground, but got a message that they were closed for the season, so I made a reservation on line and asked for site #24, alternatively #25.
Hope it works and pray for nice weather.

Great news! I'm surprised that you still got the message because Tim posted on Facebook today that they were turning on the water for the season and hoping that there were no leaks.

Hi Sunline Campers!
Julie & Chris would enjoy the company of the SOG at Hillsdale! We just sent a reservation into Hillsdale and look forward to seeing you all again this year. Though we have the little-bittiest sunline, we were lucky enough to enjoy about 120 days of camping last year, maybe more. See you all there!!!!
Julie and Chris (Wheatie and Nikki too!)

Excellent!
I don't think we really have a schedule at the moment. I would plan on we'll do a group dinner at some point, and possibly a group breakfast.
What does everyone think for activities? I won't have time to bring any of the museum stuff, but I will have the PowerPoint I used at Buttonwood, though I don't have a projector. Hopefully we'll have good weather and we can enjoy a fire for more than one night.
Don, let me know what site you get when Michelle follows up. She told me yesterday 19 and 26 were still available for the pull throughs.

Hi Folks
Well time is now in count down mode…. 15 days until Sunny heads north.
Can we plan a few minor things so DW can stop asking me and me telling her, I do not know…
Here are some thoughts and we are willing to do what the group wants to do but to start this off here are some suggestions.
- Friday night supper time to dine together who ever arrives early enough. Suggest 5:30PM. We will be arriving some time after lunch. So we will be cooking supper and would like to dine with other fellow Sunliners.
- The traditional Saturday night pot luck, are we a GO? Yes/no? Since it is a pot “luck” what ever anyone brings will work. I have never ever gone away hungry from one of these events. There is always way too much food. Maybe everyone just post what they are bringing ands we can see if there are any missing things.
- Time for the Saturday pot luck, is 5:30PM OK?
- Saturday breakfast, One suggestion to make this simple can we agree on a time to dine together? We all cook our own and then join in a group setting and dine together. Suggest 10:30AM? Some are late sleepers some are not. The early birds can eat earlier and then come join us for a 3rd cup of coffee or something at 10:30.
- Saturday lunch. Each do their own thing.
Activities:
Here is an offer, any one needing a tongue weight on their camper let me know. Have scale will travel.
Hitch talk or adjustments. If you need/want some help or explanation, just ask. If possible ask before I come so I can bring things/tools to adjust or explain. Reply here or PM me.
OK is it May 20th yet??? This is going to be GREAT!! I’m ready…
John

Count us in - if we get there on time.
I'm hoping to drive part way on Thursday evening. If we do, we'll be there early afternoon. If we don't get on the road until Friday morning, it's hit or miss if we'll be there for dinner Friday.

We vote Yes for Sat. Pot-Luck Dinner and ok with the 5:30 time.
Have to check with the boss on what we're brining

We like the 10:30am time and the BYOB suggestions.
A KIS approach is always good.

JUST KIDDING
We're there for R&R and M&G, so open to any activities.
We'll have some lawn games with us if anyone is interested.
Also, if needed, we'll be brining a 10x10 Easy Up.

Hi Everyone!
All of the above mentioned suggestions are ok with us. Arrival time is uncertain. That is the 1st week of summer classes for Jon and I'm not sure of his schedule. Dave will arrive after work. We'll bring our easy-ups also with the hope it keeps the rain away

JUST KIDDING Well as you can see we can cover most. Let me know if I should throw in the big force jack. You are going to have to explain to everyone “What the heck are they doing?????” LOL……

OK back to the food stuffs.
We will be bringing Cindy’s famous Crock Pot Sausage and Peppers for Saturday night to share. Yummy.
H’mm, some how last time I miscounted getting so excited about going camping. We are now 14 days away and counting.

John, you can add me to the list too!! My bearings should be all taken care of though... I'm hoping to go up north this coming Monday to grease it and bring it home. We didn't do it last weekend because it would be raining for our trip home and I really didn't want to pull it in the rain because I'd really like to not have to wash it before Gateway.
I would like if you could weigh my tongue again because I'd like to see what it's like without the water in it, particularly with the water heater dry. I believe it was full last time since we were already set up and my water heater is right in the front right corner there.

1 tongue weight for Sunline Fan coming up. Pending your arrival timing since you want the weight with the HW heater empty, remind me before you get all setup. Need slide in and TT level, no stablers touching ground and wheels chocked. The tongue weight will only take about 5 minutes then you can keep on going with setup.
Now only 13 days left and counting.

What's up with this M&G?
Are we having a Pot-Luck Dinner Saturday night?
Is anyone organizing it?
Are we to post what we're bringing?
What being brought to the pot-luck dinner - is there a list posted somewhere? ( did I miss that post? )
Curious minds want to know.
