My two cents vis-a-vis campgrounds. For a M&G, it is the people and trailers not the amenities. I'd prefer a camp that has few attractions as to one that has pools, game rooms, concert venues, etc. I spend a good deal of my time sittin' and marvellin' (nature watching).
A water feature (lake, river), a pavillion and lots of woods - what else is needed? And for a four-day weekend, Penny and I can make do with electric-only sites.
So, we could look at more "down-scale" parks as well. Fewer artificial distractions would promote more fellowship, I think.

We'll see y'all at Buttonwood,
Teach

We were up in Pine Grove area this past weekend to ride some rail trails, so we stopped at Twin Grove Resort's ice cream parlor, then took a little gander at the campground. It's very nice. There's a new section that kind of reminds me of Buttonwood, with not alot of trees. Those sites are really nice pull throughs. Gary, when you were there for the truck rally did everyone camp? Do you know how new the new section is? Did they let you use a pavillion free of charge?
Oops...when I went back and clicked on your link I see that you did camp in the upper section and there are tons of nice pics
