The sites are huge. And many of them are flat.

Shenandoah M&G

We'll be arriving Thurs. also. Hopefully we can get a site closeby and share picnic tables for the potluck. We'll be bringing kolbassi, sauerkraut and buns. We're leaving tomorrow for Ives Run Campground on Tioga Hammond Lake for a week. See ya on the 18th! We'll bring another sky lantern.

I sure hope Kitty is up to this one!

She's been very weak, after having those massive doses of antibiotics. Unfortunately, the antibiotics have really fed the cancer and she has been in a lot of pain. The pain is from the cancer stretching on her liver. At one point, we had it shrinking and going away. I am trying very hard, to get it shrinking again.

Since being home, her strength has improved. We were planning on camping with Poppy & Nana this weekend, but she's just too weak this weekend.

So sorry to hear Kitty isn't doing well. Hopefully being home will help. Is she off the antibiotics now? Wishing you both all good things. Also, belated congratulations on your marriage!

I was just looking at the Shenandoah River website and can't see a dump station at the park. They do have one don't they?? We'll be going to Shenandoah National Park after the M&G and definately don't want to be hauling our gray and black water! Thanks for any info. Ray

Here's a Zen question (similar to "If a tree falls in the woods...") - If a meal is planned and everyone knows what's for dinner, is it still "pot luck"?

Inquiring minds want to know,

p.s.
We'll be watching the offerings and probably do something green, as in vegetables.

Which loop do you think would be better? (assuming we Thurs. arrivals get to have a choice). We've been here once and camped in the loop down by the treatment plant.

The Dump Station is located near the dumpster on the way out of the campground

Gary & Kitty would probably be the best to answer this since they've been there many times. But, for a pot luck probably the lower area because it's more protected from wind.
I think I'll bring my usual M&G Shrimp and Cocktail Sauce.

I agree with using the lower loop, but we'll probably be spread around the campground as it is....

I did just reserve for Thursday also. That way, we will already have Sunny where we want it (Hopefully) when we get there on Friday night...

Gary-What is that big blob of tan that your lower loop arrow points to? We had the site right next to that last year, and there wasn't any bare spot there before, just a path through the woods back to the riverside trail.
